Everything in this life, even the things that feel like they are eternal, eventually pass. For more than half a century, we have visited/lived at Grandma and Grandpa's. Few other people get to experience what all of us have with this family for so long. Time doesn't stop, our lives continue, and we must move on. For all the good that has happened though, we must also remember. In recognition of the end of this era, as we say goodbye to the two people who symbolized what family is, I hope everyone enjoys this website.
I want to thank everyone for so much. First, thank you everyone who directly and indirectly helped with this website. Thank you the encouragement, the information, and the test runs. Thanks Tony, Jeff, Mom, Dad, Kori, Jeni, Kevin, Erin, and everyone who had pictures on Facebook. Next, and most importantly, thank you Lord for the blessing of family. Grandma and Grandpa, thank you for starting it all and teaching us the most important lessons in life.
For everyone else, thank you for teaching me chess, for playing Monopoly (as of January 1st, 2011 there are 6 years, 6 months, and 3 days left), for coming to 1st Communions, graduations, etc, for helping me build tents on the couch, for a lot basketball games to watch, for rolling down the steps, for going through a million haunted houses, for letting us use a great cabin, for always being there, for a million encouraging words, and for showing me what a family is. May we keep the lessons we have learned about family going through the years.
Merry Christmas
