This Catholic Church is where all 7 children were married and again where all of them and Grandma and Grandpa renewed their vows. Many grandchildren were also baptized here.

The church is old and was built back in 1898. It replaced an older building of the parish. Even before that building, the parish was a mission site where "circuit-riding priests celebrated Masses in private homes." The first church building was bought in 1854 on Mill Street (now Quarry Street), the same street Grandpa's shop would be located years later.
